Terms

The terms, in plain English.

Last updated 26 August 2026. Part one covers using this website. Part two covers what happens when you hire us. Neither part contains a clause designed to trap you.

Part one — using this website

What this site is

hyphr.net is HYPHR's own website. Everything on it is provided for information. Nothing here is an offer, a contract, or a guaranteed price. A price becomes real when we send you a written quote and you accept it.

Accuracy

We try hard to keep this site accurate, including being honest about what our products cannot do yet. Timeframes such as "10 days typical turnaround" describe our normal experience on a standard project, not a promise attached to yours. Your actual timeline goes in your quote.

What belongs to us

The HYPHR name, the HYPHR mark, MATCH™, ANSWR™, and the design, code and copy of this website belong to HYPHR. You are welcome to read it, share links to it, and quote it with attribution. You may not copy the site wholesale, resell it, or present it as your own work.

Client and collaborator names and marks shown on this site belong to those businesses and are used with their permission.

Fair use

Do not attempt to break into, overload, scrape at volume, or probe this site or its forms for vulnerabilities without our written permission. Do not use the contact form to send spam, malware, or anything unlawful. We rate-limit submissions and we block abuse.

If you think you have found a genuine security problem, we would rather hear about it than not: email hello@hyphr.net with the details and we will respond.

Links out

We link to our products and to sites we have built. We are not responsible for the content of any site we link to.

Liability for the website itself

This website is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the website itself. This does not limit any liability that cannot legally be limited, and it does not affect the terms of a signed project agreement.

Part two — the terms project work ships under

These are the standard terms behind the claims on our services page. Your signed proposal is the document that governs your project; if anything below conflicts with it, your proposal wins.

Scope and quote

We scope the work in writing before anything is built. That document states what is included, what is explicitly not included, and what it costs. The quote is fixed. We do not run an hourly meter and we do not send surprise invoices. If you later want something outside the agreed scope, we quote that separately and you decide before it is built.

Payment

50% to start, 50% at launch. Two invoices, tied to real milestones. Work begins when the first invoice is paid. Final handover follows the second. Care plans, where applicable, are billed monthly and can be cancelled at the end of any month.

Revisions

Website projects include two rounds of revisions during the review stage. A round means one consolidated set of changes, not an open-ended stream. Larger projects define their own review stages in the proposal. We would rather you tell us it is wrong than accept something you do not like.

What you need to give us

Projects run on time when content, feedback and access arrive on time. If we are waiting on material from you, the timeline moves by roughly that amount. We will tell you when that happens rather than let a date quietly slip.

Ownership

This is the part we care most about, and it is not negotiable in your favour or ours:

  • Your domain is registered in your name, on your account, paid by you.
  • Your code — every source file we write for your project transfers to you on final payment, whether or not you continue working with us.
  • Your data lives in your database, is exportable at any time, and is never held as leverage.
  • Your brand — files, assets and identity work we produce for you are yours outright.
  • Your accounts — hosting, DNS, email and analytics are set up in your name, and you hold the keys.

We keep the right to reuse the generic building blocks, libraries and techniques we bring to every project, and to reference the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to. That is the only carve-out.

Leaving

Ask in writing and everything transfers to you, free, within days. There is no exit fee, no handover charge, and nothing gets switched off while we sort it out. If you cancel a project mid-build, you pay for the work completed to that point and you keep it.

Confidentiality

Anything you tell us about your business during scoping or delivery stays with us. We will sign your NDA if you have one.

Support and uptime

Care plans cover updates, backups, monitoring and small changes as described in your plan. They are best-effort support, not a guaranteed uptime SLA, unless your agreement specifically states one. Third-party outages (your host, your registrar, an API you depend on) are outside our control, though we will help you through them.

Liability on project work

Except for liability that cannot legally be excluded, our total liability for a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits. We carry this term because we quote fixed prices; it is the trade-off that makes fixed pricing possible.

Beta products

MATCH and ANSWR are in beta and are labelled that way everywhere on this site. Beta means features change, things occasionally break, and we will tell you what does not work yet. Your data in either product remains yours and remains exportable.

General

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Our not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up. We may update these terms; the version published here on the date your proposal is signed is the version that applies to your project.

Contact

Anything unclear on this page, ask before you sign, not after: hello@hyphr.net.
